JOHNSTOWN, PA – The Johnstown Redevelopment Authority announced today that Hanging Gardens LLC has been awarded a permit to grow and process medical marijuana in Pennsylvania. Hanging Gardens LLC entered into a lease agreement several months ago with the Johnstown Redevelopment Authority for its location at 108 Iron Street with hope that the State would issue the company a permit. The Wolf Administration released information today for those permits.
“We began to work with Hanging Gardens LLC this spring to enter into a lease agreement for the location at 108 Iron Street if they were awarded the permit from the State. Today, Governor Wolf announced those permits and we are ecstatic that Hanging Gardens LLC was chosen, and therefore Johnstown will be the location of their manufacturing facility. The Johnstown Redevelopment Authority could not be more proud of the time and effort that it took to bring this lease to fruition and we look forward to working with Hanging Gardens LLC for many years as this continues our redevelopment along on Iron Street. The economic effect and job creation will have an impact for decades,” Johnstown Redevelopment Authority Executive Director Melissa Komar stated.
