Exciting news for Main Street!
On Thursday, December 11th, T-Mobile awarded the Johnstown Redevelopment Authority a $50,000 Hometown Grant to help transform the former Dempsey’s Pub site at 224 Main Street into a new downtown pocket park.
The design includes a brick walkway, greenery, benches, a small stage, and restored pieces of the original building—bringing new life to this historic spot. Neighboring partners Walnut Medical Services and Croyle-Nielsen Therapeutic Associates will help maintain the space once it’s built.
With construction expected to start this spring, this project marks another step forward in creating a more vibrant, welcoming downtown Johnstown.
