Michael Grandinetti

Michael Grandinetti has over 45 years of experience in municipal government, currently serving as the Maintenance & Operations Manager for the Johnstown Redevelopment Authority (JRA). Since 2020, he has provided strategic oversight and operational leadership for numerous infrastructure and community development initiatives throughout the Johnstown area.

In his role, Mr. Grandinetti supervises and assists in the planning, advertising, and execution of Capital Improvement Projects at the Dornick Point Wastewater Treatment Plant. He also facilitates monthly operational meetings with Inframark to ensure seamless coordination and performance across plant operations.

As the Sewer Lateral Program Liaison, he oversees all off-site inspections and compliance efforts tied to the Sewer Lateral Compliance Loan Program and the Cambria County Sewer Lateral Assistance Program. His work includes organizing open house inspections, managing coordination between property owners and contractors, entering project data into the JRA GIS system, and supervising restoration efforts. He also leads outreach initiatives aimed at expanding program participation across neighboring municipalities.

Mr. Grandinetti manages all construction and maintenance activities related to JRA’s Interceptor Infrastructure. He works closely with engineering firms to develop and execute a forward-thinking, sustainable five-year Capital Improvement Plan.

His responsibilities further extend to overseeing improvements and operations for JRA-owned buildings and land. This includes managing tenant relations, construction projects, utility upgrades, and beautification efforts. As a New Development Liaison, he actively supports developers by coordinating land development projects in partnership with the City of Johnstown.

Previously, Mr. Grandinetti served the City of Johnstown and other municipalities in various roles throughout his extensive career in public service.

Demonstrating a continued commitment to sustainable urban growth and planning, he currently serves as a member of the City of Johnstown Planning Commission, where he contributes to the city’s long-term development strategies.
